A higher prevalence of interstitial lung disease (ILD) was found in the ANCA positive (44.8% vs 21.8%, p  < 0.001) and the anti-PR3 positive groups (50.0% vs 23.4%, p  = 0.009). In multivariable analysis, ANCA-positive status remained associated with ILD after adjusting for anti-Scl-70 antibodies. Pulmonary embolism (PE) was more common in ANCA-positive patients (8.6% vs 3.0%, p  = 0.002) and anti-PR3-positive patients (16.7% vs 3.3%, p  = 0.022). ANCA-positive status remained associated with PE in a multivariable analysis adjusting for anti-phospholipid antibodies. Kaplan-Meier analysis revealed increased mortality in ANCA-positive patients (p  = 0.006). In Cox regression analysis, ANCA was associated with increased mortality, after adjusting for age and sex. Conclusions: ANCA is associated with increased prevalence of ILD and PE in SSc. ANCA should be tested in SSc, as it identifies individuals with worse prognosis who require close monitoring for adverse outcomes.]]> Wed 26 Oct 2022 09:28:52 AEDT ]]> Australian and New Zealand evidence-based recommendations for pain management by pharmacotherapy in adult patients with inflammatory arthritis https://nova.newcastle.edu.au/vital/access/ /manager/Repository/uon:19675 Wed 24 Jun 2020 13:00:51 AEST ]]> Characteristics of early Paget's disease in SQSTM1 mutation carriers: baseline analysis of the ZiPP study cohort https://nova.newcastle.edu.au/vital/access/ /manager/Repository/uon:38237 Wed 18 Aug 2021 09:19:04 AEST ]]> Patients' attitudes and experiences of transition from paediatric to adult healthcare in rheumatology: a qualitative systematic review. https://nova.newcastle.edu.au/vital/access/ /manager/Repository/uon:37631 Wed 15 Mar 2023 11:27:40 AEDT ]]> Patient and parent perspectives on transition from paediatric to adult healthcare in rheumatic diseases: An interview study https://nova.newcastle.edu.au/vital/access/ /manager/Repository/uon:45779 Wed 13 Mar 2024 08:57:16 AEDT ]]> Clinical Features of Systemic Sclerosis–Mixed Connective Tissue Disease and Systemic Sclerosis Overlap Syndromes https://nova.newcastle.edu.au/vital/access/ /manager/Repository/uon:48747 Wed 05 Apr 2023 12:27:33 AEST ]]> External validation and evaluation of adding MRI or extended myositis antibody panel to the 2017 EULAR/ACR myositis classification criteria https://nova.newcastle.edu.au/vital/access/ /manager/Repository/uon:36479 Tue 15 Nov 2022 17:07:48 AEDT ]]> Outcome predictors of immune-mediated necrotizing myopathy—a retrospective, multicentre study https://nova.newcastle.edu.au/vital/access/ /manager/Repository/uon:50517 Tue 08 Aug 2023 14:23:37 AEST ]]> Randomised trial of genetic testing and targeted intervention to prevent the development and progression of Paget's disease of bone https://nova.newcastle.edu.au/vital/access/ /manager/Repository/uon:55039 Thu 04 Apr 2024 13:44:33 AEDT ]]> A fracture prevention service reduces further fractures two years after incident minimal trauma fracture https://nova.newcastle.edu.au/vital/access/ /manager/Repository/uon:18390 Sat 24 Mar 2018 07:52:35 AEDT ]]> Australian and New Zealand recommendations for the diagnosis and management of gout: integrating systematic literature review and expert opinion in the 3e Initiative https://nova.newcastle.edu.au/vital/access/ /manager/Repository/uon:28191 Sat 24 Mar 2018 07:23:54 AEDT ]]> Australian and New Zealand national evidence-based recommendations for the investigation and follow-up of undifferentiated peripheral inflammatory arthritis: an integration of systematic literature research and rheumatological expert opinion https://nova.newcastle.edu.au/vital/access/ /manager/Repository/uon:23593 Sat 24 Mar 2018 07:13:21 AEDT ]]> Cost savings with a novel algorithm for early detection of systemic sclerosis-related pulmonary arterial hypertension: alternative scenario analyses https://nova.newcastle.edu.au/vital/access/ /manager/Repository/uon:42332 STANDARD). Owing to the limitations of TTE, the ASIG developed a new screening algorithm (ASIGPROPOSED) utilising a serum biomarker, NT-proBNP, in place of TTE, which has been shown to be equally accurate as the current algorithm. The aim of this study was to compare the cost of these two algorithms using different scenarios. The new algorithm resulted in significant yearly cost savings of between AU$42 913.35 and AU$84 570 in screening and diagnosis of an Australian cohort which, if extrapolated to the Australian population, would result in a yearly cost saving of between AU$367 066 and AU$725 564.
